Anthony Martial discloses what he wants at Manchester United

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho during the defeat to Chelsea

Spaniard Alvaro Morata scored the victor that re-ignited Chelsea's hopes of retaining the title as they sit just one point behind second-placed United and third-placed Tottenham Hotspur after 11 league games.

It has been made clear that he is committed to Manchester United.

Unfortunately, the same can not be said about today's Manchester United, under the pragmatic and self-proclaimed "special one", Jose Mourinho. However, the gaffer feels that the club needs to be more competitive in the transfer market.

Mourinho is clearly agitated that the "noisy neighbours" Manchester City and his great rival Pep Guardiola have spent more than United in recent transfer windows.

This verdict is delivered by Simon Stone, a journalist with good contacts at Manchester United.

After another £150m outlay last summer, Mourinho has been told he must offload some players before buying again in the January transfer window.

The board at Old Trafford are keen to control costs before bringing in new players, according to the BBC.

Flight to Bali makes emergency landing after woman's discovery on husband's phone
The commotion on the Bali to Doha flight started after she found incriminating information on his phone while he slept. A flight had to be diverted when a woman became unruly on learning-mid-flight-that her husband was having an affair.

United are already eight points behind City, and closing that gap seems unlikely even with spending in January, so Mourinho looks set for another season without delivering a league title at Old Trafford.

United had published their latest financial results for the 2017 financial year in September, reporting a 13.5% wage bill rise to £263m.

Fellaini is a favourite of Mourinho but is out of contract at the end of 2017/2018.

But how do Manchester United fans view Mourinho's spell at the club as the Portuguese nears a year and a half in the job?

It is understood that the bosses want to tie him down to a new deal but there have been no negotiations so far.

"The other day my son who lives in London went to Paris and not to Manchester to watch the match", Mourinho said. But at Paris Saint-Germain, Jose Mourinho could become the next Sir Alex Ferguson.

At the moment, Manchester United sit 2nd in the Premier League table on 23 points, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur on goal difference.
