Minnesota's Reggie Lynch 'categorically denies' sexual misconduct allegations

Minnesota center Reggie Lynch 'categorically and vehemently' denies sexual assault allegations

Minnesota Golden Gophers basketball player Reggie Lynch is reportedly facing potential expulsion following a third sexual assault allegation.

The EOAA also recommended Lynch be suspended for misconduct in a separate incident alleged to have happened April 28, 2016.

The third woman coming forward against Lynch "resulted in a January 3 finding by the U's Office of Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action (EOAA) that Lynch was responsible for sexual misconduct in an alleged sexual assault that occurred on April 7, 2016", Olson and Stahl wrote. He was never criminally charged in the case, and the EOAA cleared him.

Pacyga wouldn't provide details but called it a "she said, he said" situation made more hard because the allegations were made months after the incidents and key evidence is no longer available.

"Reggie Lynch categorically denies all of these allegations".

Team GB targeting best-ever medal haul
Knight and Wild won four medals at the Para Alpine Skiing World Championships in 2017 including gold in the downhill. Other short odds to win are Germany (+160), the United States (+500) and Canada (+700).

Attorney Ryan Pacyga said Wednesday Lynch has appealed both rulings and requested a panel review.

Pacyga said that sexual assault cases often favor the accuser or victim.

Pacyga said his client is "eager to clear his name" and is considering all options, including the possibility of leaving the school rather than continuing the appeal process. In the case of 10 U of M football players accused of being involved in a sexual assault last September, the subcommittee upheld the recommended punishment for five of them but overturned or reduced discipline for the other half.

"This is not the ideal analogy but it seems to me it's a little bit like where there was all of this hysteria when World War II started and we had the Japanese internment camps and everybody rushed out of fear to do something like that", he said. "Because accusers came forward after 18 months, there's no way to collect and test evidence". "How do you get a fair hearing right now?" Despite this, he read a portion of the documents and outlined in detail the events that transpired that April, angering advocates and at least one victim who came forward Wednesday to share her displeasure with Pacyga's statements. "Is that behavior of someone who's been sexually assaulted?"

Lynch, meanwhile, has not decided on whether he will continue challenging the school's findings-or even whether he will still attend school at the University of Minnesota or play basketball with the team. He is not allowed to participate in athletic competitions. Pacyga said Lynch declined to travel for the Gophers' game against Northwestern Wednesday at 8 p.m., but a University spokesperson said Lynch did not have a choice.
