Speaker John Bercow praises behaviour of a baby in the Commons

The House of Commons descended into chaos today as the SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford was expelled for trying to call a stunt division in the middle of PMQs

Mr Blackford was asking for the Commons to sit in private when he was called to ask a question during the weekly PMQs session.

Blackford attempted to raise a point again, which Bercow would not allow, resulting in the Speaker of the House telling Blackford to leave.

A baby sitting in the public gallery of the House of Commons has been praised for her good behaviour during today's explosive meeting - and even got a round of applause.

Speaking to the BBC immediately after the incident, Mr Blackford said: "Scotland's voice has not been heard, we have had changes to the devolution settlement that were pushed through last night without Scottish MPs voices being heard".

Mr Bercow said he was suspending the party leader for the rest of the day following his "repeated refusal" to take his seat when told to do so.

The SNP claim the EU Withdrawal Bill opens the door for a Westminster power grab which takes away from the Scottish Parliament and undermines devolution.

We all recall the prime minister giving her commitment that she would treat Scotland as part of a "union of equals".

He stated: "I really do hope that the people of Scotland listened very carefully to what the prime minister said, because the reality of the situation is that powers enshrined under the Scotland Act 1998 are being grabbed back by this parliament today".

Trump adviser apologizes for "inappropriate" comments targeting Trudeau
Navarro now regrets the " inappropriate " language he used, he admitted at a Wall Street Journal event on Tuesday . But Trump's shots at Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau and his general churlishness served no useful end.

"It is a democratic outrage".

Scottish Secretary David Mundell said the SNP was about to be granted a debate on the devolution aspects of the EU Withdrawal Bill.

The unprecedented event brought PMQs to a temporary halt as Mr Bercow refused his demands.

The speaker of the house John Bercow MP appeared flustered and unprepared for the request, at first responding that it couldn't be heard, then stating that it could be, and finally deciding that it would only be heard at the end of Prime Minister's Questions.

Blackford eventually left the House of Commons with all of his SNP colleagues in tow, in a show of solidarity, much to the amusement of heckling Tory MPs. Such a complex endeavour is bound to complicate the agenda of Prime Minister Theresa May as she tries to negotiate Brexit.

The Scottish MP had accused Theresa May's government of a "power grab". "Not one single Scottish MP was able to speak in that debate", he added. But Scotland's devolved parliament, Holyrood, had rejected those measures last month with the backing of all parties save the Scottish Conservatives.

Moments later, Nicola Sturgeon tweeted she was "right behind" her party's MPs.
