White House aide apologizes for 'special place in hell' comment

Freeland goes to Washington to denounce tariffs

After a relatively amicable summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, US President Donald Trump again fanned the flames of his growing war of words with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Speaking at the Wall Street Journal CFO Network annual meeting in Washington, Navarro said he used language that was "inappropriate". "And I think what people need to do at this moment is take a step back", Hassett said.

White House trade adviser weighs in on 'Fox News Sunday'.

On Monday, MPs in the House of Commons approved a motion denouncing Trump's name-calling tirade and endorsing Trudeau's decision to stand his ground against US tariffs and tweeted presidential threats.

At that post-G7 press conference on Saturday, Trudeau had called USA steel and aluminum tariffs "insulting" and said he would proceed with retaliatory tariffs that he'd already announced.

"I get into Air Force One, the television's on, and I see a news conference being given by the prime minister of Canada", Trump said.

He complained again about the news conference Mr. Trudeau gave after the President left the Group of Seven summit early - suggesting the PM expected to sneak in pugnacious phrases while Mr. Trump was on a flight to Singapore. President Trump withdrew from the communique in a fit of rage on Saturday.

Justin Trudeau is getting support in his battle with Donald Trump from some well known Conservative politicians, including premier-elect Doug Ford.

Both LG and Samsung are apparently developing this technology now and will have production-level hardware by "early next year". In fact, Samsung fans probably know by now that Samsung will keep adding new colors to the mix in the months to come.

The foreign affairs minister spoke to reporters in Ottawa and offered a markedly different tone from the attacks lobbed at Canada, one of the United States' closest allies, this weekend by President Trump and other members of his administration.

Tweeting from Singapore where he's scheduled to hold a nuclear summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Trump wrote: "Sorry, we can not let our friends, or enemies, take advantage of us on trade anymore".

"He followed up by asking why the U.S. should "allow countries to continue to make "massive trade surpluses", asserting that it is "not fair to the people of America" and that the USA is suffering under a "$800 billion trade deficit".

Trudeau said he was preparing retaliatory measures against the United States.

His apology came days after Trump and Trudeau verbally sparred over the G7 summit in Canada.

It said Canada would "reject disparaging and ad hominem (personal attack) statements by USA officials which do a disservice to bilateral relations and work against efforts to resolve this trade dispute".

"The idea that we could impose a national security threat to you is more than absurd, it's hurtful", she said at an event hosted by Foreign Policy, where she accepted the news magazine's Diplomat of the Year award. "So you're looking at a million jobs here in Ontario". "But if history tells us one thing, it is that no one nation's pre-eminence is eternal".

That official and others said USA governors, state officials and lawmakers have a strong appreciation of the benefits of trade with Canada.
